Anxiety Counselling in East Sussex

Everyone experiences feelings of anxiety during their lifetime. For example, you may feel worried and anxious about sitting an examination or having a medical test or job interview. Feeling anxious sometimes is perfectly normal and short-term anxiety can be useful. Feeling nervous before an exam can make you feel more alert, and enhance your performance. However, if the feelings of anxiety overwhelm you, your ability to concentrate and do well may suffer. For some people, feelings of anxiety are much more constant and affect their day-to-day life.

Treatment of Anxiety in East Sussex

In East Sussex treatment for anxiety is often successful using counselling and psychotherapy, sometimes in combination with drug treatment from your GP. You can feel relieved to tell someone, unbiased and independent from your friends and family, how anxious you are feeling.

Within my practice in East Sussex we can look at both the underlying causes of anxiety together with lifestyle factors such as your diet, caffeine intake, smoking and drinking and the amount you exercise.
